Jonishiva / Joni Niva

Jonishiva (b. 2000) is a visual artist from Kolari, Finland, whose practice is grounded in long-term processes. He works at the intersection of oil painting and photography, without excluding other artistic disciplines. In his work Jonishiva explores the dialogue between the urban and the nature, the layered nature of memory, and the ways in which environments and memories shape identity. He graduated from Kankaanpää Art School in the summer of -25, and his works have been exhibited in Finland as well as in Greece.
